The UWT has become one of the leading suppliers of measurement technology on the world market today for the level detection in silos and tanks for material manufacturing processes.
When UWT started, almost 40 years ago, with the development of ingenious products.
UWT supply level limit and content measurement sensors for bulk solids and liquids. Learn more about our radar level transmitters to reliably measure solid and liquid materials in silos and tanks. We have solutions for the most diverse industries. Our radar sensors include a non-contact series NivoRadar® 3000 and a guided wave radar serie NivoGuide®3000 for solis and NivoGuide® 8000 for liquids. Electromagnetic waves form the basis of level measurement with radar. A radar sensor emits a focussed electromagnetic wave that is reflected by objects as an echo and is then evaluated by the sensor. In addition to free-radiating radar sensors, the radar category also includes those based on guided microwave technology, which are referred to as guided radar, TDR (time domain reflectometry) or also GWR (guided wave radar) sensors. The fundamental difference between free-radiating and guided radar sensors is the way the electromagnetic waves reach the medium to be measured.
