Scrap of the foundry sector is valuable
Scrap of the foundry sector is valuable
Today the metallurgical sector, and foundries in particular, are at the forefront when it comes to protecting the environment and the impact of industrial waste on the ecosystem. We are talking about millions of tonnes of special waste which need to be disposed of every year involving significant resources and huge costs. ”Our sector does not usually occupy the front pages of financial newspapers, although it is fundamental for industry and has been, historically, the driving force of a country’s growth. Managing waste disposal is an expensive business: both large and small companies have to deal with the high cost of storage, transport, screening and crushing at their facilities, as well as the cost of disposal”. Operating in five continents, MB Crusher has listened to several entrepreneurs and has realised they all prioritise the same objective: to reduce disposal costs. MB’s response reflects its own corporate mission: turning waste into advantage. Since

From Waste to Packaging Material – Economical and Ecological Produce your own packaging material!
From Waste to Packaging Material – Economical and Ecological
Produce your own packaging material! Why buy new packaging material when used cardboard boxes are available? With the HSM ProfiPack packaging machines, used cardboard is converted into high-quality packaging and filling material – in an economical and ecologically friendly way! These devices are a perfect solution for all dispatch and storage areas as their steel-plate housing was designed especially for robust operation in outgoing goods departments. The HSM ProfiPack C400 and P425 packaging machines form used cardboard to padding, creating packaging material for universal use. Besides reducing costs, this is a sensible and practical contribution to environmental protection. The already existing models have been completely overhauled with regard to function and external design and now offer impressive new features. Cutting and padding are done in a single step – no time-consuming pre-cutting of the cardboard is required. The measurement scale on the device allows easy, infinitely variable adjustment

Lindner Micromat BaleOpener Increases Film Quality at Veolia
Lindner Micromat BaleOpener Increases Film Quality at Veolia
At the Morschheim site in Germany, Veolia Umweltservice West GmbH operates a highly efficient sorting facility for post-consumer plastic films. Crucial to ensuring the best possible output quality in homogenous LDPE film is a Lindner-Recyclingtech Micromat 2000 BW shredder. This innovative machine also regulates the quantity of material and creates the perfect conditions for optical sorting by feeding the optical sorting system with the particles it needs. A very important system component – the best prerequisite for automatic sorting At the Veolia Umweltservice West GmbH site in Morschheim, over 6,000 tons of commercially produced LDPE film waste arrive annually for sorting. The Micromat 2000 BW proves to be a very important system component here – innovative, powerful and highly productive while at the same time cost-efficient and therefore economical. The shredding performance of the tried-and-tested Lindner model series is key to ensuring that very high

Gneuss Recycling Process with many food contact approvals The Gneuss MRS Recycling Process: Approved for Food Packaging Worldwide
Gneuss Recycling Process with many food contact approvals
The Gneuss MRS Recycling Process: Approved for Food Packaging Worldwide Since the first “Letter of Non Objection” from the American FDA in 2009, the Gneuss recycling process based around the MRS extruder has received a large number of approvals for processing up to 100 % post- consumer and industrial polymer waste to food contact products. This year, Gneuss obtained food contact approval from Anvisa, the first-ever in Brazil. This approval is for the Gneuss PET process for recycling PET post-consumer and post-industrial waste to sheet for thermoforming to food contact containers. It is a significant contribution toward increasing polymer recycling. In Latin America, the Gneuss recycling process has also achieved the standards set by the Colombian food safety agency, Invima and its Argentinian counterpart, Senasa for processing 100 % post-consumer PET waste to food contact products. In Europe, the Gneuss recycling process has passed the EFSA challenge test for the processing of 100 % post-consumer PET. A study by the British charity

KEEPING UP WITH TRENCH WORKS – CONNECTING PEOPLE MB Crushers and Screening Buckets are used in trench works to ensure you save time
KEEPING UP WITH TRENCH WORKS – CONNECTING PEOPLE
MB Crushers and Screening Buckets are used in trench works to ensure you save time All over the world thousands of construction sites are being built, where trench work is under way to put together new pipelines for the transportation of gas, oil and water. These are often enormous infrastructure projects, divided into sections, often located in isolated places, where it is necessary to build miles of tracks and roads to allow access. Heavy equipment units follow the site for miles and miles to dig the trenches, prepare the trench bed, install the pipes, prepare the materials to cover the pipes and close the trenches. Traditionally large-sized crushing and screening equipment is used to obtain the required aggregate size to lay and cover the pipes, ideally it needs to be moved near where the pipes are being laid. But at times large-sized equipment cannot reach certain sites. Because there are no roads to connect them, therefore the inert to be reclaimed are taken elsewhere, processed, and only after re-used. These operations are proven to be time-consuming
