RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund 2026
The industry meeting place for circular economy and resource efficiency
The 9th edition of RECYCLING-TECHNIK Dortmund, trade fair for recycling technologies takes place on the 18th and 19th of March 2026. Here visitors will find machines, systems and components for recycling and environmentally friendly disposal. The focus will be on the exchange of ideas between experts from the recycling industry on technologies and solutions for efficient and sustainable processes.
SOLIDS Dortmund – the trade fair for granules, powders and bulk solids technologies – will take place in parallel, celebrating 20 years of SOLIDS Dortmund. The anniversary edition’s motto is ‘Ideas that move. Solutions that stay.’ Exhibiting companies will present the entire spectrum of mechanical process engineering: from conveying, dosing and screening technology to crushing, mixing and storage technology to dust extraction, filtration and process automation solutions for fine to coarse-grained materials.
The close interconnection between the bulk solids and recycling industries generates valuable synergy effects, in terms of resource-saving solutions, greater efficiency and sustainable approaches.
New exhibitors and loyal companions
At RECYCLING-TECHNIK & SOLIDS Dortmund, national and international companies will be presenting new and proven technologies and solutions for the bulk solids, process, and recycling industries in four halls. Many companies have decided to participate again, including Barradas GmbH, Doppstadt Umwelttechnik GmbH, PFREUNDT GmbH, STEINERT GmbH and many more. In addition, trade visitors can also look forward to new technology providers such as STRABAG AG, Optocycle GmbH, and Buss-Sms-Canzler GmbH.
Synergy effects at the trade fair duo
At RECYCLING-TECHNIK, users gain a comprehensive overview of technologies and solutions for the recycling and environmentally friendly disposal of waste products. At SOLIDS, exhibiting companies present the entire value chain of mechanical process engineering for fine to coarse-grained materials. At their core, however, both trade fairs revolve around material flows and processing.
Visitors from the bulk solids processing industry and from the fields of demolition and building material recycling, waste and residual materials, biomass, glass, wood, plastics, material handling, paper, scrap, and metal benefit from the large overlap of topics. For example, bulk solids technologies are used in recycling processes to optimize the transport of recyclable materials. At the same time, recycling technologies with their innovative sorting and processing methods are used in bulk material processes, where they contribute to the optimal yield of valuable resources.
New process automation exhibition area
And other highlights. Visitors can expect numerous highlights, including a new exhibition area on process automation, a start-up area, live explosion demonstrations powered by REMBE®, and a high-caliber lecture program on five different stages.
On the topic of process automation, visitors will gain insights into current developments in automation technology. The solutions presented are designed to help users make their production processes more sustainable and efficient. These include integrated services such as data integration and data analysis, cloud-based solutions, remote monitoring and control, predictive maintenance, and real-time communication. The offering is complemented by human-machine interfaces (HMI), manufacturing execution systems (MES), sensors, switches, and control systems. These are essential building blocks for increasing digitalization and efficiency in the process industry. Exhibiting companies include renowned firms such as BSG – Bruckmann Steuerungstechnik GmbH, MaintMaster Systems GmbH, Di Matteo Förderanlagen GmbH, OPDENHOFF Technologie GmbH, Sachtleben Technology GmbH and SEW-EURODRIVE GmbH & Co KG.
In addition, visitors can look forward to the specially created start-up area, where young companies such as Mineral Waste Manager GmbH, Optocycle GmbH, Reuter Fertigungstechnik GmbH & Co. KG and TEL GmbH will be presenting themselves. They will be showcasing their innovative products for the bulk solids and recycling industry not only at the exhibition, but also in the form of a presentation on the ImpulsCenter stage to a wide audience of experts.
Two days of concentrated knowledge – lectures and panels
The RECYCLING-TECHNIK InnovationCenter I is the stage for a series of high-profile presentations by renowned experts from the recycling industry. Trade visitors will gain the latest insights into research, development, and future trends. Dr. Dirk Textor, Raw Materials Manager at GRAF Holding, will address the question, “What does the new Packaging Ordinance mean for industry, trade, and recycling?”
The PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) is about to be introduced. Many stakeholders are uncertain about how the requirements are to be implemented. The panel will provide an overview of the current status and highlight various aspects from the perspective of the ZSVR, a packaging manufacturer, the trade, and a PP recycler.
The Building Materials Recycling Forum will address an extremely important topic with “From regulations to reality: How digitalization and standards are making secondary building materials a real alternative.” The event is being organized by Thomas Fischer, Circular Economy and Market Development Officer at bvse (Federal Association for Secondary Raw Materials and Waste Disposal) and Managing Director of Quba. With a clear focus on practicality and reliability, the forum will show how the combination of the Substitute Building Materials Ordinance (EBV), digital tools, and binding standards is accelerating the use of secondary building materials. The contributions cover a wide range of topics, from regulatory requirements and approval issues to concrete implementation using digital tools, for example in quality monitoring and quality assurance.
In addition, Dr. Mohammad Chehadé, Managing Director of the Center for Circular Economy (CCE) at RWTH Aachen University, invites trade visitors to his presentation forum “The transition to a circular economy: technologies, data, transformation using the example of textile and battery recycling.”
On the RECYCLING-TECHNIK InnovationCenter II stage at the WFZruhr joint booth, trade visitors will gain practical insights from leading industry representatives – from experts for experts. Presentations by participants at the joint booth and panels on “Innovative Recycling Technology” and “R-Concrete: Future or Scarce Resource?” round off the program.
In addition, IND EX® is organizing a half-day Explosion Safety Forum. The event will take place on the morning of March 18, 2026, and is aimed at specialists and managers who are intensively involved in explosion protection and process safety.
Podcast with added value
The new podcast “BULK TALK” provides the perfect preparation for the trade fair.
