Niutech showed pyrolysis plants at IFAT 2024 in Munich
At IFAT 2024 in Munich, Niutech exhibited as a main exhibitor with pyrolysis technology for waste plastic, scrap tyres, oily sludge and hazardous waste and with reference projects from several countries.
Pyrolysis for plastics and scrap tyres
Niutech Technology Group of Jinan, Shandong Province, exhibited as a main exhibitor at IFAT in Munich, Germany, from 13 to 17 May 2024, in Hall B4 at stand 133. The company had announced pyrolysis technology, project cases from several countries and equipment and complete solutions for the recovery of organic waste.
Plant range
Niutech builds continuously operating pyrolysis lines for waste plastic, scrap tyres, oily sludge and hazardous waste. The plastics line processes PP, PE and PS, single or mixed, into pyrolysis oil and solid fuel; after refining, the oil can serve as a raw material for new plastics. The scrap tyre line breaks down car and engineering tyres and other rubber waste into pyrolysis oil, recovered carbon black, steel and non-condensable gas, which is fed back into the process as fuel. Stated capacities start at 10,000 tonnes per year, with around 8,000 operating hours a year and continuous feeding and discharging under PLC or DCS control.
References in Europe
According to the company, waste plastic pyrolysis plants are running in Denmark and Thailand; the outputs of the Danish plant go to BASF for the production of new plastics. Niutech lists scrap tyre plants in Germany, Hungary, Thailand and Brazil, among other countries.
