Lindner Atlas - Primary shredding with intelligent energy management Specialists, get ready: Lindner believes in the future of electric drives in shredder technology and has identified a clear trend in solid recovered fuels production. At IFAT 2018 in Munich the technology leader with 70 years of engineering expertise introduced the Atlas. This stationary ‘ripping’ twin-shaft primary shredder perfectly complements the tried-and-tested Jupiter series: the newly developed ripping system ensures very high throughputs and little downtime: it is (cost)-efficient, energy saving, environmentally friendly and produces little noise. Optical sorting systems, such as those following primary shredders in modern SRF lines, can sort out recyclables more effectively and thus better comply with legal regulations and requirements if the discharge conveyor is evenly filled with material. Van Beek has developed the eggshell dryer for drying crushed eggshells in a continuous industrial process. This dryer heats the eggshells to 130 degrees to give a pathogen-free, fine-grained and high quality lime with a maximum moisture content of 1%. No odour nuisance This end product can be marketed as a soil improver or lime for the animal feed or cement industry. By removing the moisture odour nuisance is a thing of the past. Less than 4% moisture The eggshell dryer is a machine with a single screw and operates as a paddle dryer. The machine requires little installation space in an automated line that breaks the eggs to separate the contents from the shells. After dehumidification the line crushes the shells, after which they land in the eggshell dryer. This removes the last moisture from them, leaving less than 4% moisture. HSM presents as a competent partner at the IFAT trade fair in Munich From 15 - 18 May, HSM GmbH + Co. KG, the south German manufacturer of baling presses, PET solutions and document shredders, will present its extensive range of products at IFAT, the world’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management, in Munich in Hall B5, booth 251/350. The exhibition will include the latest horizontal baling press, HSM HL 7009 with a press force of 700 kN, among other things. The compact horizontal baling press is the economic and space-saving disposal solution for chain stores and retailers, and it easily compresses cardboard and foil. With a cross-section of 1100 x 1100 mm and a bale length of 1200 mm, the bales weight up to 600 kg. In this way, the four-fold horizontally strapped bales achieve optimum truck utilisation.
