This enables operators to take measures for safety and damage limitation at an early stage. The handling and storage of lithium-ion batteries or accumulators is increasingly an issue for recycling companies and for manufacturers who are obliged to take back accumulators. Gases and aerosols can escape from pre-damaged accumulators - signs of an impending thermal runaway of the accumulators. More than a conventional CO detector The Fire Gas and Smoke Detection System (FGSDS) detects both smoke and a wide variety of fire gases long before the thermal runaway. The system is based on a special gas detector that detects different fire gases at an early stage. In combination with smoke detection, the FGSDS provides comprehensive early detection. New AMB spiral jet mill from Hosokawa Alpine: Ultra-fine grinding of coarse materials without pre-crushing Hosokawa Alpine AG has developed a new jet mill where coarser products can also be added without pre-crushing.
