Mr Hofmann, you have known singold for many years as Technical Director. What does your step up to the executive board mean for the company?
I am delighted to play an even greater role in shaping the future of our company. As Technical Director, my focus was on products, applications and technical solutions. On the executive board, I can now also bring this experience into strategic decisions. For me, it is particularly important to bring technical expertise and entrepreneurial thinking even closer together.
What prompted singold to adapt its management structure at this point in time?
Our company has grown steadily over recent years. At the same time, projects are becoming increasingly complex and customer requirements more individual. By expanding the management team, we are creating the organisational framework needed to continue meeting these demands while supporting our growth with the right structures in place.
What motivates you personally in your new role?
I continue to find it immensely rewarding to work alongside our customers to solve demanding challenges while helping to develop our company step by step.
What will change for your customers as a result of your move to the executive board?
Our customers will primarily benefit from the fact that we can integrate technical expertise even more closely into the direction of our company. Insights from projects will flow directly into new products and additional applications. This allows us to precisely align our solutions with practical requirements.
And what will deliberately stay the same?
Our values remain unchanged: technical expertise, honest advice, durable products and a partnership-based collaboration. This is exactly what singold has stood for over many years and nothing will change about that in the future.
In your opinion, which topics will have a particularly strong impact on bulk solids handling technology in the coming years?
We see several major developments. These include the electrification of pneumatically driven knockers, NC-compatible valves for greater process reliability, valves up to DN 800 and metering valves with our characteristically low overall height. At the same time, the need for tailor-made solutions is growing, as standard products are no longer sufficient for many applications.
How is singold responding to these developments?
We are continuously investing in the further development of our products and technologies. At the same time, we’re expanding our role as a development partner. We see ourselves less as a pure component supplier and much more as a partner for individual process requirements. Our goal is to find the technically and economically best solution for every application.
And what priorities are you setting internally for company management?
I want to foster a corporate culture built on openness, personal responsibility and continuous improvement. To achieve this, we will further refine our organisational structures, continue optimising our processes and strengthen responsibility within our teams. At the same time, it is important to me to support and inspire new employees. We will also preserve our open culture of communication, as it remains a key element of our success.
