Universal shredder upgrade: The Merak 2800 mobile universal shredder series gets a new diesel-driven version. Thanks to its complete independence from the mains power supply, the new model offers a much higher level of flexibility. The Merak 2800 was first presented at IFAT 2024 featuring an all-electric drive system and has since become established on the market as a truly universal shredder in terms of versatility, productivity, and throughput. Customers greatly appreciate this mobile shredder thanks to its high throughput and ability to handle a wide variety of materials. Three different rotor concepts and interchangeable screens allow the shredder to be adapted to various material flows, including waste wood, plastics, industrial and commercial waste, and household waste. The innovative cutting system allows the shredder to be used for a universal range of applications, from coarse pre-processing through to final shredding, outputting particle sizes ranging from 30 to 350 mm. Maximum flexibility and independence Lindner, an Austrian recycling pioneer, will be launching at IFAT Munich 2026 the diesel version of their mobile single-shaft shredder, which provides a fully mobile turnkey solution.…

Further Developments in Plastics Recycling
... Call for All-in-One Solution and Strategic Partnership – Lindner Keeps on Trailblazing Spittal an der Drau (Austria), July 2023. The Lindner family business has been active in the recycling market for many decades and is known for innovative shredding technology, system solutions and washing systems. Of all the sectors, plastics recycling is the most dynamic. To provide the industry with recyclates of the required quality, in the necessary quantities and at low production costs, strategic partnerships and an optimised all-in-one process will be needed in the future, Lindner is certain. Michael Lackner, Managing Director at Lindner, explains this in the following interview: Q: Plastics recycling is more in demand than ever. Recycling quotas, however, are often not met. Where do you see the challenges and what will a solution look like, Mr Lackner? ML: For years, our focus has been on processing material flows in the best possible way to recycle as many potential raw materials as possible. We have been quite successful in plastics recycling. Our Lindner…

Lindner’s Jupiter BW Series Sets New Standards in Film Recycling
Make the most of waste. Jupter BW’s special shredder set-up enables precise, true-to-the-particle shredding of film fractions, resulting in a 44% reduction in fines. Plastics have been an essential part of our daily lives for many decades. Whether in medicine, the food sector or the automotive industry, the easy processing and application abilities of polymers over other materials means that they are represented in a wide range of industries. Packaging materials such as films, primarily made of polyethylene (LDPE, LLDPE) and polypropylene (PP), have a particularly short product life cycle and also account for a significant portion of waste generation worldwide at a total share of around 40%. Optimising quality in film recycling Due to the high volume of waste, there is a high demand for efficient recycling solutions for film fractions. Modular washing and drying processes customised explicitly to the input materials – with and without hot wash – ensure the plastic flakes or the regranulate are optimally cleaned. The upstream sorting processes are equally crucial, ensuring that only recyclable materials pass through the washing…

Lindner at K 2022: Innovative All-in-one Recycling Solutions
Dusseldorf (Germany), November 2022. Recycling specialist Lindner showed all-in-one solutions for efficient plastics recycling at K 2022 in Hall 9 and the outside area as part of the VDMA Circular Economy Forum. As a pioneer in plastics recycling, Lindner knows what the recycling and circular economy wants: higher throughputs, short downtimes and maximum energy efficiency. The increased demand for quality recyclates also requires first-class washing components that can be added as modules depending on the degree of contamination. This can be achieved thanks to product innovations and the perfectly coordinated upstream processes of shredding – washing – sorting. As one of the few recycling specialists, Lindner offers all-in-one solutions to efficiently optimise these steps to process rigid plastics, films and PET. Film recycling – optimised quality Whether post-commercial or post-consumer, films make up much of the world’s waste. Different degrees of contamination require adapted washing and drying processes. This is the only way to produce high-quality recyclates. The specific features of Lindner’s new Jupiter BW series ensure an increase in efficiency and quality.…

Circular Economy in the Spotlight: AST Group Uses Lindner Plastics Recycling Technology to Close the Loop Since 2018, the AST Group, producer of HDPE plastic containers and drums, has been committed to cleaning and reconditioning used containers to ensure a longer service life for its products and greater sustainability in the production process. Since 2021, the loop has been closed by another piece – a plastics recycling facility (PRF) from Lindner has been processing post-consumer containers, which are then used to produce new drums and containers. As these products are also destined for the hazardous and foods industries, high-quality recyclate is crucial as are optimally coordinated recycling processes. Managing our environment responsibly Circular economy, the Green Deal, recycling quotas, resource conservation, energy efficiency, sustainability – these are the buzzwords we hear each and every day, especially in the recycling industry. After all, our industry is essentially about responsibly managing our environment and its resources as well as the associated…
