Bezner recycling installation for waste to energy plant
The new waste sorting plant built by Bezner has a major impact on the energy production, important for the goal of carbon neutral energy production in 2035 Bezner built a recycling installation for the waste to energy plant of Oulun Energia, one of the major energy companies in Finland. The new waste sorting plant has a major impact on the energy production at Oulun Energia, which has a goal to have carbon neutral energy production in 2035. It is a good example of the possibilities of the circular economy. Commercial, construction, demoliation and industrial waste At Oulun Energia the recycling installation sorts different types of waste: commercial and industrial waste, construction and demolition waste. Materials are separated from waste flows and used as follows: * for the energy supply (plastic with the exception of PVC, paper and wood) * some separated materials are sold, such as: Stone, Glass, etc. (inert); Ferrous metal; Steel and iron; Non-Ferrous metal; E.g. copper, aluminum, zinc, brass lead; and PVC Everything is done by the machines, no human work required.

Australian manufacturer impressed by German screening technology
In an official announcement, the Australian graphite producer BassMetals Ltd. recently announced the latest developments of the company to its shareholders. Among them were the convincing results from the RHEWUM technical center. Currently, BassMetals Ltd. uses three screening machines for producing five different (graphite) products. This procedure is very time-consuming and is to be simplified in the future by producing all separating cuts on only one machine. The company commissioned RHEWUM GmbH to deal with this problem and to find a solution. Whether as a pencil lead, solid lubricant, material for self-lubricating bearings and seals, or even as the shaft of a golf racket - graphite has many uses. In nature, the mineral occurs in the form of isolated flakes and grains in carbon-rich metamorphic rock and as veins in pegmatite. The company BassMetals Ltd. owns the Graphmada Large Flake Graphite Mining Complex in eastern Madagascar, in the immediate vicinity of the country’s only export port in Toamasina. From there, the mined and processed graphite is shipped primarily to the USA, Europe and India. The mining area has a unique graphite deposit in soft rock (regolith), which is characterized

Lindner’s Patented Twin-Shaft Cutting System Precision with Maximum Efficiency
Lindner’s Patented Twin-Shaft Cutting System
Precision with Maximum Efficiency The way a twin-shaft shredding unit works is fairly simple: two tools moving in opposite directions draw in the collected waste material for shredding and crush it all together into smaller pieces. If it is purely about volume reduction, for example for easier transport, this can be achieved with conventionally designed shafts. Some applications, however, require specific particle sizes for their processes. Plants that recover energy from waste wood, for example, are usually designed with a standardised particle size in mind. Oversized particles in the material stream can block the conveyors or safety systems such as rotary valves. In addition, too many fines negatively affect combustion and very small particles might lead to lumps jamming the facility. Therefore, if the required size is not obtained in the first shredding step, the material must be treated further. The crux of the matter is that additional processing is costly, reduces the recycler’s profit margins

Capacitance level measurement with NivoCapa® in tanks for gas cooling
Continuous level measurement in cooling water with H2 gas. There occur process-related low levels of vibration and steamin the atmosphere. Level sensors that work according to the capacitive measuring principle are used in different liquids, pastes, foams and slurries and can be implemented in all types and shapes of tanks, metallic or non-metallic. They have a very high level of precision in both conductive and non-conductive media. If you look at the whole thing in practice, it becomes clear how versatile the capacitive measuring principle is in very different process conditions. For a steel-producing plant, a continuous level measurement, which works unaffected by steam or pressure fluctuations within a very small measuring range, was implemented with the NivoCapa® NC 8000 in water for gas cooling. The proven technology with active buildup compensation and a tunable oscillator was a flexible solution for optimizing the manufacturing process. Measurement accuracy & corrosion-resistant design including PFA shielding. One of the top 10 steel producers worldwide was looking for an insensitive and
