Sustainable Vacuum Technology for Modern Production Processes
GREIF-VELOX presents the new DryVac dry-running pump, which enables energy savings up to 70%. Energy and resource efficiency have become critical factors in modern industrial production—especially when handling ultra-light powders such as carbon black, silica, or color pigments. With the launch of its new GREIF-VELOX DryVac dry-running pump, the German engineering company introduces a forward-looking vacuum solution that combines economic efficiency, sustainability, and operational reliability. Up to 70% less energy consumption Without Compromising Performance. Compared to conventional water ring pumps, the GREIF-VELOX DryVac reduces energy consumption by up to 70%, and even when compared to double diaphragm pumps, energy savings of over 50% are achievable. With a motor output of just 6.5 kW, the DryVac significantly reduces operating costs. A practical example: With an annual operating time of 8,000 hours and an average consumption of only 2.6 kW, the system can save up to €12,800 in energy costs per year—for example, during the bagging of silica. Dry…

Green Chemistry is Quietly Reshaping the Way Medicines Are Made
Alex Del Priore, SVP – Manufacturing Services In recent years, green chemistry has begun to move from the margins of pharmaceutical development into its core. While sustainability has long been a talking point in the industry, practical integration into drug development has often lagged behind ambition. That is beginning to change. What was once dismissed as either impractical or idealistic is now showing commercial and operational value. With rising scrutiny of supply chains, tightening solvent regulations, and investor pressure around ESG disclosures, companies are finding that applying green chemistry principles can help them do more than reduce environmental impact—it can also lead to better processes, faster development timelines, and more resilient production models. This shift is playing out across every phase of the drug development lifecycle, from early-stage design to commercial-scale manufacture. In the past, sustainability was often considered late in the process, once the synthesis route had…

Reliable Labeling: Your Data Centre’s Shield Against Errors
(case example) Discover how a leading automotive manufacturer revolutionized their operations and minimized risks by implementing a robust identification system. In data centres, uptime is crucial. Uninterrupted operation is essential for all critical services. A key factor in maintaining this, often underestimated, is a standardized and reliable identification system for all infrastructure components. Discover how a leading automotive manufacturer revolutionized their operations and minimized risks by implementing a robust identification system. Learn how Brady’s innovative labeling solutions delivered clearer infrastructure, fewer errors, and rock-solid reliability. The Challenge: Reducing Downtime Risks Datacentre professionals constantly aim for high service levels. A significant risk to continuous operation is human error, particularly disconnecting the wrong cable. The complexity of modern datacentres, with dense cabling, makes this risk higher. To minimize the risks of incorrect cable disconnection, clear, reliable, and consistently applied labels for racks, servers, and cables are vital. The Solution: Durable…
