For many years, FB Ketten has been supplying asphalt-plants with high-quality spare parts for elevators and offering plant audits and wear measurements. FB Ketten manufactures and distributes ready-to-install * elevator chains (double strand and central chains) * wear-resistant tooth segments and drive-segments * split sprockets and * elevator buckets Lower TCO, higher ROI The focus is on durable and ready-to-install chain solutions and conveyor-optimisation. Field tests of FB111 bucket elevator chains (comparable to ER111) in a gravel plant in Switzerland have shown that FB elevator chains had less chain elongation than competing products. The result is higher plant uptime, lower total cost of ownership (TCO) and, therefore, higher return on investment (ROI). Proven chain solutions for drum drives * Rotary chains * individual teeth for bolting or welding to the drums and * ready-to-install sprockets. Plant audits and wear measurements FB Ketten

Circular Economy: Masterflex hose recycling cooperation
Masterflex SE and NESTRO Lufttechnik test suction hoses made from recycled plastic - a practical test with a signal effect Suction hoses made from recycled plastic In Gelsenkirchen, Masterflex SE, the global market leader for high-tech hose systems, is launching a circular economy pilot project together with NESTRO Lufttechnik. For the first time, suction hoses made from fully recycled plastic material are being tested in industrial use. The aim is to close the material loop and make the circular economy practicable. Nestro Lufttechnik and Masterflex SE The starting signal was given when NESTRO handed over a specially collected batch of used hose remnants to Masterflex. Masterflex produced prototypes from the recycled material; these were inspected at a joint meeting in mid-August - with consistently positive results. Both partners see future-oriented potential for everyday use in many industries. Masterflex hose recycling As a hose technology leader, Masterflex combines materials expertise and engineering know-how. The focus is on the strategy Hero@Zero - the change towards resource-neutral

How RF Technology Works RF Technology Decoded by UWT – How Electrical Signals Deliver Reliable Level Detection
How RF Technology Works
RF Technology Decoded by UWT – How Electrical Signals Deliver Reliable Level Detection RF technology (Radio Frequency Capacitance) uses high-frequency measurement for precise level detection. Unlike purely capacitive sensors, it detects not only changes in capacitance but also the specific resistance of the medium. This ensures reliable measurement even under challenging conditions. How does RF technology work? The principle is based on an electrical voltage divider. Together with the medium, the probe forms a measuring system that detects both capacitance and impedance. Impedance describes the total electrical resistance a medium presents to an alternating current. It indicates how strongly a material reacts to electrical signals – and this change is exactly what RF technology uses for reliable detection. When the material comes into contact with the electrode, the capacitance increases abruptly – a clear signal that the level has been reached. The longer the active electrode, the more sensitively the probe responds. This allows the measurement

20 years Solids Dortmund, anniversary with new show highlights
Solids & Recycling-Technik Dortmund 2026: industry meeting place with a top-class supporting programme Solids Dortmund, trade fair for granules, powders and bulk solids technologies, takes place on the 18th and 19th of March 2026. Here visitors will find efficient solutions for processing, handling, storing, transporting and analysing bulk solids. This year there is also a special reason to celebrate: 20 years of Solids Dortmund. The anniversary edition’s motto is ‘Ideas that move. Solutions that stay.’ Exhibiting companies will present the entire spectrum of mechanical process engineering: from conveying, dosing and screening technology to crushing, mixing and storage technology to dust extraction, filtration and process automation solutions for fine to coarse-grained materials. The Recycling-Technik Dortmund, trade fair for recycling technologies, will take place in parallel to Solids Dortmund and is focusing on machinery, plants and components for recycling and environmentally friendly disposal. The close interconnection between the bulk solids and recycling

DSIV Young Professionals Day at Greif-Velox
Exchange, networking, and insights into innovative bulk solids technologies—that was the DSIV Young Professional Day in Lübeck. Together with Dr. Jan-Philipp Fürstenau from the DSIV (German Bulk Solids Industry Association), Prof. Kai Freudenthal and students from the Mechanical Process Engineering program at HAW Hamburg were welcomed to Greif-Velox as part of an excursion. The program was varied: - Technical presentations on digitalization, AR/VR, and AI in product development - Live demonstrations at the Greif-Velox InnovationHub - Factory tour with insight into a real customer plant - Prospects for starting a career Thank you to everyone involved for the intensive dialogue and great interest. Such encounters show how important direct exchange between universities and industry is – and how much potential the next generation has.

VEGA expands in the USA: New electronics production opens in Mason
A milestone for the measurement technology manufacturer VEGA Grieshaber KG: At the beginning of October, the company officially commissioned its new electronics production facility at the US site in Mason near Cincinnati. The expansion covers around 11,000 square meters and doubles the previous production area in Mason. With the expansion, VEGA will produce electronic components directly on site in the future. The site expansion strengthens local supply chains, reduces dependence on global logistics, and increases flexibility in customer service. Production at the company headquarters in Schiltach remains. Sustainability and energy efficiency The new building was realized with a clear focus on energy efficiency and environmentally friendly materials. Regional sourcing and the elimination of long transport routes contribute to a more sustainable value chain. “With the expansion in Mason, we are investing in proximity to our customers in North America,” says Isabel Grieshaber, Managing Partner of VEGA. “This allows us to react faster, conserve resources, and deploy our innovative strength more effectively worldwide.” Collaboration across continents After around two years
